His father was a farmer too. But farming has never been so unimaginably difficult. During Rafiq's father's days there used to be good yield of crops. But now Rafiq battles with drought during the extreme heat of summer and floods during the rainy season. He is not literate enough to understand, but these are all results of climate change.
