The Noahic covenant represents Noah's ark. It consists of wood and water, the wood represents the ark, which connects to the cross. The water represents the flood which represents baptism. The cross and baptism are both conveyed in todays catholic beliefs.

Pentecost was a very special day- and still is. When it occurred after Jesus resurrected, there was tongues of fire and crazy wind. This is when the holy spirit came to the apostles. This day reminds us how much power the holy spirit has, not just in the world, but also over us.

The Abrahamic covenant was when he received three promises. He was promised great nation meaning a large group of people and they would all be united. He was also promised a great name, as well as great blessing, meaning the 7 sacraments. This applies to today because we still go by the 7 sacraments, and in us following them in return we got God's trust and love.

This included the ten commandments which catholics still live by today.Jesus was a great example as someone who lived by and listened to God.

The apostles are sent out in order to spread God's word- we know as the gospel and live by him. Mass is a form in which God's word is spread in todays day and age, as well as doing our own reading and researching of the bible. The apostles were ordinary people- just like us. God chose people we could relate to, and people of our status.

While Jesus is very important and was known as the Messiah as soon as he was born- his birth wasn't very special in terms of location. While Mary and Jospeh were looking for a place to stay, they had very hard time, and eventually found somewhere- where animals stated. He was born in a trough where animals ate from. But this didn't take away from how special he was. As soon as he was born everyone showed up to bring gifts, take turns holding him etc... this shows that Jesus didn't have a very special upbrining- just like me and you.

Saul ( Saint Paul) is a very special and crucial member of the catholic church. He shows us how holy spirit can really change anyone no matter what your past or history is, as long as you turn your life to God. He is a great example for us and proves anyone can be a follower of christ and really change if they want to. He went from being a persecutor of the church, to being a member of the church

The council of Jerusalem was a group of people who were followers of Christ and chose not to make it super hard for gentiles to join their group, because they wanted as many people as possible to feel included. This shows how the church has become more inclusive over time and the most important things is we ALL love God.

Weekly mass keeps me in check with my faith, I never miss a single week of mass- and my mom makes sure it stays that way. I enjoy going because it feels really calming especially after a busy week. With school, work, homework, friends.. etc. it is easy to forget about or push away God, but church reminds me to make him a priority as well.
