_{Our school started was primarily founded as Anatolian high school which provided training for foreign language}

_{education in İlhan Atis Anatolian High School building with the name of İsmail Kulak Anatolian High School during}

_{2010-2011 school year. Giving service as an Anatolian High School in the building of İlhan Atis Anatolian High}

_{School, our school has started education in the new building since 2011-2012 school year. There are departments}

_{providing education for students in Math-Science, Turkish-Math and Foreign Language Education.}

_{The school building consists of one block over an area of 5,581 square meters, of which 4,150 square meters of}

_{outdoor space is 1,431 square meters of indoor space. The other sections in our building are Administrative Units,}

_{Classrooms; Laboratories, Theater Hall, Meeting Saloon, Indoor Sports Hall, Painting and Music Workshops,}

_{Psychological Counseling and Guidance Rooms, Sports Room, Infirmary, Teachers Room, Library, Support Room,}

_{Canteen and Dining Hall. We have fire alarm and security systems.}

_{The garden area is 4.150 square meters and there are birdhouses, football field, basketball field, badminton, bocce}

_{fields on the trees in the school garden. In addition, there are camellias for students and guests to have a rest. Our}

_{school continues education on Suleyman Demirel Boulevard connected to Cukurova District in Adana.}

_{Due to its location and its being opened recently, it is among the most successful schools in Cukurova. The}

_{majority of the students are the ones who live around the school due to the school’s center of location. The}

_{number of scholarship provided to the students increased rapidly and it is in the first rank due the preferences of}

_{low-income families and students}

_{3 teachers out of 45 have and 2 deputy school heads out of 3 have MA degree. There are 3 inclusive students out}

_{of 675 and 1 disabled student. Our students are between 14-18 ages.}

_{As a school, we are acting with the philosophy of "One for All, One for All". The changing conditions of the world}

_{require students to be flexible, able to handle incidents as necessary, and to become new and useful products. In}

_{order to be a business owner in the age of information, students must also gain the ability to think deeply, solve}

_{problems creatively, work in teams, communicate in an understandable way using different tools, learn}

_{continuously changing technologies and cope with a huge amount of information. The 21st century skills, in}

_{general, is described as a way for students to be successful in the information age the high level skills and learning}

E-TWINNING SCHOOL * We are candidate for e-Twinning school among 25 schools in Adana and 300 in Turkey. IN RELATION TO MATHS * Our school participated in Math Design contests. IN THE FIELD OF ART * 3D Diorama Theater Show Cultural Heritage Transfer Project was prepared. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS * LÖSEV, Elderly Care Home and Sister School Projects IN THE FIELD OF PAINTING * Exhibition and waste materials recycling projects have been prepared. The “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” states that all people
have equal rights without gender discrimination in all fields and in all
circumstances. However, it is unfortunate that a disparity model giving
more value and priority to men has continued from the past to the
present in many areas of life. This inequality becomes more apparent in
such areas as social life, marriage and family life, work life, education,
politics and decision-making, human rights, and access to health
services. The most important area of women’s health where gender
discrimination appears is in reproductive health services. Throughout
the world, women still face violence, become disabled or die due to their
gender. Women are unable to make independent decisions regarding
their health care due to a variety of social and family pressures, and
face barriers when trying to access health care facilities and services. To
achieve gender equality, individuals of all ages and genders, especially
men, health workers, leaders, and legislators should develop awareness
and adopt an equal perspective. Today, the WHO, the United Nations,
the Council of Europe and organizations such as the Women’s Health
Council have joined forces and initiated advocacy programs, including
“Gender Equality, Women’s Empowerment, Gender Equality in Health
and Gender-Sensitive Health Services”. It should be ensured that all
nurses who work directly in society provide care and services based
on human rights and gender equality. In our country, significant
differences in health indicators between regions and settlements
seriously affect women’s health, their problems, and their roles in
society. Outside of advocacy, the nurse should assess women using a
holistic approach and plan women’s health care accordingly.

Comment regarding Gender Inequality

In this picture we can see that women are in a different position as compared to men , in fact she can run but her path is full of obstacles and difficult situation .
Possible Obstacles :
Women must help their families in the housework while men don't need to do it because it's a social convention, a sort of prejudice .

Ders kitaplarında cinsiyetçi ifadelerle ne yazık ki hala karşılaşabiliyoruz. Bu konuda Tarih Vakfı “Ders kitaplarında İnsan Hakları projesi” kapsamında ders kitaplarını tarıyor, bu tarama sonuçlarına ilişkin yayınları inceleyebilirsiniz. Ders kitaplarını dönüştürmek ve bu konuda değişiklik talep etmek önemli, fakat eğer elimizdeki imkanlarla bu kitaplarla ders yapmak durumunda kalıyorsak da kendimizi çaresiz hisstmeyelim. Cinsiyetçi iş bölümüne ilişkin bir resim, çocuklarla toplumsal cinsiyet hakkında konuşmanızı kolaylaştıran bir araç olabilir.

Okul öncesi eğitimde, oyuncaklar eğitimin bir parçası ve eğitim mekanına girdiğinizde oyuncakların farklı köşelere (evcilik köşesi, araba köşesi vb.) yerleştiğini görürüz. Genellikle oyun satinde kızlar evcilik köşesine, oğlanlar arabalara doğru giderler. Eğitim ortamı için uygun oyuncakları seçmek ve bu oyuncakları mekana yerleştirmek bizim elimizde. Cinsiyetçi kalıpları besleyen oyuncakları/oyuncak köşelerini kaldırmakla ya da bu köşelerde çocukların birlikte oyun oynamasını sağlamakla başlayabilirsiniz. Bebekle oynayan oğlan çocuklarına ya da evcilikle oynamak istemeyen kız çocuklarına şaşırmayı, “anormalleştirmeyi” bırakıp, bu farklılıklarını saklamadan özgür ve güvende hissedecekleri eğitim ortamları oluşturalım.

Okul duvarlarınızda resimler asılı mı? Birçok okulda duvarlardaki tüm asılı resimlerde erkek bilim adamları ve sanatçıları görebiliriz. Neden ünlü bilim kadınları ve sanatçı kadınların resimlerini ve yaptıklarını asmayalım?

Eğitimci olarak kendimizi değiştirerek işe başlayabiliriz, mesela “dil”imizi. Kadın demekten korkmayabiliriz, “bayan” demekten vazgeçebiliriz. Ya da kız ve erkek çocukları yerine kız ve oğlan çocukları olarak kullanabiliriz.

Aile içi iş bölümü cinsiyetçiyken, okuldaki ya da sınıftaki iş bölümünde durum nedir? Sınıfı temizlerken kız çocukları, sıra taşırken oğlan çocuklarını mı görevlendiriyoruz ya da görevlendirildiklerinde ses çıkarmıyoruz? Sadece sınıftaki iş bölümünü cinsiyet eşitliği gözeterek yaparak çocukların deneyimlemesini sağlamak bir saat toplumsal cinsiyet anlatmaktan çok daha kalıcı olacaktır.

Öğretmenler sınıfta çocuklar için rol modeldir. Bizler geleneksel cinsiyetçi kalıpların dışında örneklerle öğrencilerdeki cinsiyetçi kalıpların esnemesini sağlayabiliriz. Kırmızı pantolon giyen bir erkek öğretmen neden olmasın?

“Toplumsal cinsiyet”, ”ayrımcılık” konularını sınıflarımıza taşıyabiliriz. Bu konuda İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Çocuk Çalışmaları Birimi’nin (ÇOÇA) çeviri ve uyarlamasını yaptığı Pusulacık: Çocuklarla İnsan Hakları Çalışmak isimli kılavuzdan STK eğitim ve araştırma biriminin Şebeke isimli projesi kapsamında çevriler “Toplumsal Cinsiyet Konu(şma)ları”kitabından ve Sosyoloji ve Eğitim Çalışmaları Biriminin “Ayrımcılık Sorunu Eğitim Ortamlarında Nasıl Ele Alınabilir? Eğitimcilere Yönelik Örnek Ders Uygulamaları ve Kaynak Destek Projesi(ASED)” kapsamındaki yayınlarından yararlanabilirsiniz. Ayrıca çocuklarla bu konuda oyunlar oynamak isterseniz ÇOÇA’nın “Neden Olmasın” ve “Mesela Sokağı” oyunlarını kullanabilirsiniz. Yeter ki isteyin, bu konuda materyal ve etkinliklere ulaşmak mümkün.

Okuldaki teneffüs saatleri ve sosyal etkinlikler için de yapılabilecek çok şey var. Örneğin kız futbol takımı kurmak ya da teneffüslerde çocukların birlikte oynayabileceği alanlar yaratmak gibi.. Bilimle ilgili konulara kız öğrencileri teşvik etmek; sosyal etkinliklere katılımda ya da okul meclisinde cinsiyet dengesi gözetmek; bale yapmak isteyen bir oğlan çocuğunun yanında olmak bunlardan sadece birkaçı… (bu konuda Billy Elliot filmini izlemenizi tavsiye ederiz)

Meslek tanıtımları hemen hemen her yaş düzeyinde yapılır. Mesleklerin tanıtıldığı dersler ya da etkinliklerde toplumsal cinsiyet konuşmak ve bu konuda farkındalık yaratmak için çok önemli alanlardır. Erkek hemşire, kadın cerrah, erkek okul öncesi öğretmeni ya da kadın inşaat mühendisi ile meslekleri tanıtmak mümkün değil mi? Önemli olan çocuklara “Neden Olmasın” diyebilmeleri için alan yaratmak..

Women in the job world

We asked ourselves about what our future could be in the job world. We are deeply concerned with this topic because we are women and we want to have success in our life.
We have thought about our class and we have noticed that the members are only female. But, why are we in this situation? Because our society generally believes that humanistic studies are reserved only to women. This is a big prejudice because we argue that no one can classify a person thinking only at his gender, but watching at his character and mental abilities.
If we think at our childhood we can see that also roles during the game are important to determinate the future of the child. Nowadays in our society people have got more flexible minds. For example, now women achieve the same position compared with men, but the women pay is less than men’s ones (on average men capital value is 453,000 euros for men and only of 231,000 for women). In fact there are some laws for women but the boss at work continues to discriminate.
To same up, the solution for us is to create an education based on gender equality.

Proje sonuçları hem öğretmen hem de öğrenciler tarafından uygun araçlarla sunulmuştur. Belirlenen hedeflere açıkça ulaşılmıştır. Ortaklar, öğretmen ve öğrenciler proje sonu değerlendirme sürecine katılmıştır. Cinsiyet eşitsizliğinin her alanda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da kız çocukları için ne gibi sorunlara sebep olduğunu, bu sorunların eğitimsizlikten kaynaklandığını ve bu sorunların çözümü için toplumdaki tüm bireylerin eğitim süreçlerine devam ederek kadın-erkek elele mücadele etmek gerektiğinin anlaşılması açısından çok önemli bir proje gerçekleştirdiğimizi düşünüyoruz. Projemiz sayesinde öğrenciler, duygularını sözlü ve yazılı olarak ifade etme becerisi kazandılar. Ayrıca akademik makale incelemesi yaparak, bu makaleleri birbirleriyla paylaştılar.Grup çalışmasının, birlikte çalışmanın önemini kavradılar. Bu durum sorumluluk duygularının gelişmesini sağladı. Proje etkinliklerinin sunum sergisinde yeni fikirler geliştirdiler. Teknoloji okur yazarlığı, bilgi duygu ve düşüncelerini sunmak için bilişim teknolojilerinden yararlandılar. Web 2.0 araçlarını eğitimde aktif kullanmayı öğrendiler. Hayal güçlerini,tasarım yeteneklerini ve el becerilerini geliştirdiler.Ayrıca öğrencilerimiz yabancı ortaklarımızın öğrencileriyle iletişim kurdular ve ingilizce dil becerilerini geliştirdiler. Diğer ülkelerin cinsiyet eşitsizliğine bakış açılarını öğrendiler, bu durumun birçok ülkede önemli olduğunu kavradılar.
