I like to use digital tools to allow students to have a choice of what we will be learning (organizing topics from easy to hard) or how they want to learn using polls. I also like to create post it boards for exit tickets; where students can share what they learned and what they still have questions about.

I really like using the idea of Padlet as a ticket out. It would also be a good way to gauge whether or not students are understanding content. For example, instead of students writing a note to me at the bottom of their page (as to whether or not they are confident, somewhat confident, or very unsure of their work on a specific assignment), they could respond on a wall with their thoughts and questions.

I love the idea of using Google Classroom to promote collaboration because it's so easy to use and all of my students already know how to navigate and access Google Classroom apps. I've done collaborative Google Doc assignments but am interested in trying a Google Drawing assignment. This could be a very powerful tool in mathematics and I could make it visually appealing to help engage the learners.

While Google Apps are nice and easy, I think using a new tool that students have never seen before could be very engaging for them as well, as long as they are told how it works.

I think that the Padlet could be very engaging for many students giving them confidence to voice their opinions. The posts on top of each other puts my personal OCD out of control which I could name several students that this would bother too making them hate it.

I also am beginning to view the Google tools differently from just being a production tool to complete tasks to an instruction discussion tool. This is probably the most useful thought change as I still just use it as tools for productivity not engagement.

I liked the idea of an interactive assignment that has more options than Google (although I do like Google quite a bit). The teacher resources and the ability to see student participation in a grade format was also helpful. It also looked like it could help with the usual issues of group activities when students are not participating equally.

Students may feel a bit more comfortable sharing their ideas, and even seeing others with similar views may make the student feel more comfortable.

In the digital course I took in college, they showed us how to make a webquest. I think it could be a fun and engaging, as well as challenging task, to have students create their own webquest on a topic that they are to show complete mastery in. They could share their link in an online discussion, and be required to go through another student's webquest creation and comment and give constructive criticism.

I use different online games such as KAHOOT.it, and they are always engaged with that extra little competition.
