I think I could improve their on my performance as I need to get into my character. She said we need to pick a character so that when we perform we can relate to the character and you can tell a small difference between everyone and their charcter. I got changed because it did not look right from an audience perspective because of my height difference to who i was standing by. in this rehearsal we used the time to clean parts we already learnt so that next time we add more chorography we don't need to keep going over the old stuff. In the musical theatre we finished the piece. I need to work on my performance and work on my arm lines as my arms look saggy and not strong. This rehearsal was in the smaller studio as others needed to use the bigger studio. This made rehearsals quite difficult as some of the moves we need lots of room, such as the box split. In this rehearsal each group got taught there choreography. In my group we did the section we learnt previously which was good as wel already knew it. Only small section got added on. After all the groups was choreographed, we put it together. I have got the spacing better in the beginning aswell. And we tried out the new running order. I feel that the new running order went alot better this time as it was more spaced out and gave us more time to breath and get ready. I feel that this new running order is a lot better as I find it better for all of the dances to be able to get ready in time. The only dance that could be a problem is after tap even though we do have time it may not be enough. i think another dnace that could be a problem is getting on to hair spray from after tap, we do have a minuite but this costume has alot going on and i enjoy this dance a lot and i dont want to be late on. I have a a video of the others doing the exercise would of learnt. In the tap audition we did some exercises like close work crawl and others. I found it reasonably okay as some was grade work I teach my self but other exercises parts I stuggled with. On the last exercise I was there for I stuggled with the brush part and Lorraine worked on it with me and I eventually got it. It does take me a little longer but I do get it in the end. We learnt it in one day. It was a very fast routine that required us to keep grounded and close to the floor the opposite of how we are taught by ISTD so this was a challenge. It was a full out day but was very enjoyable as we got to lead a very cool routine. In one day which was a big challenge. I feel I did very well considering I struggle picking up tap fast. I need to work on my timing in 7/11 as I always do the hand to early so this is something I need to work on but I feel I performed to my best ability today. In the afternoon we cleaned the tap that we learnt the day before and went over individual steps that people where struggling on. Grace helped me with the timing for the paradiel part as I was stuck on the timing, and now I think I have it a lot better and I understand it more. I think it is very good considering we learnt it yesterday. I think I could work on my speed as I am behind. I feel alot more surcure on the finale as we went through it slowly. I think that I got the fast part alot better. I found it really difficult as it's very fast and small movements that have to be right. I think I could still work on it alot more as I still mess up the really fast moves. In mels rehearsal I think I did very well and I knew the choreography. Mel said that me and 2 others had the best facial expressions which is good to hear as I always struggle with performance. We went over it alot And I think this helped as I have really got the dance in my head and I feel alot more surcure on the whole dance. I think going over it a lot helped us all make sure we know it without even thinking as Sinead said she will cut people if they do not know it as it would look silly with people in it if they don't have a clue. keep going over the steps as people where making it up and changing them so we went over them so people are getting them right. In the afternoon we did a show run in the theatre where we blocked all of are numbers which was a good step towards the show. Sinaed gave us feed back which was very useful as the feed back was based on everything to do within doing it in the theatre. I think it's very useful doing a dress run in the theatre as we wouldn't normally get time but I think it's great that we did as we are then more rehearsed for the show and I also think this will help the tech run go smoother. I think I did well in are show run as I got on for most of the numbers okay and the only one I had a problem with was hair spray but I came on at a time that wasn't obvious and I think it worked well. I think I could work on my spacing for tap as I was out too far on the V. This afternoon dan came in to clean all the dances and to make sure she likes the spacing in the theatre. In living da vida loca i have been changed to centre back as now we lost a dancer it doesnt look right where i am. This is first time we did a dress run in the costume. I am wearing yellow skirt shirt and hair bow and tye around my neck. This costume is portraying the outfit they wear in hairspray so this helps us get into character.
