         <description><![CDATA[<p>King Croesus was one of the first recorded entrepreneurs. Croesus was the last king of Lydia, reigning from 560 to 546 B.C. Croesus is credited with the invention of money, which obviously made him very wealthy.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Rockefeller was one of the industrial titans during the American industrial revolution. He was a very successful entrepreneur, worth $1.4 billion or around $24 billion adjusted to today. He ran an oil company called <em>Standard Oil, </em>which was the leading oil company at the time. He is often considered the richest American of all time and was the top entrepreneur when he was alive. He and many other entrepreneurs at the time were a large reason the Progressive movement started (monopolies and government corruption.)</p><p><br></p><p>“John D.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Henry Ford was an American industrialist and entrepreneur who ran the Ford Motor company from 1947-1979, the company set up by his grandfather during the American industrial revolution. When Henry II became head of the company, it was left in his hands at a disastrous state.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Walt Disney was an American film creator in the 1900s. He was the founder of the company Disney. He is known as the pioneer of animated films and created incredibly well known characters such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. The company he founded ended up being one of the largest in the entertainment industry. Walmart, founded by him in 1962, became the largest retail chain in the US by 1990 due to Sam Walton's leadership and development of the company. He also was the founder of Sam's Club, a chain of  wholesale warehouse outlets, in 1983.
