I’ve conducted research on birds on and near the UMR since 1991. I began my work in the UMR documenting Double Crested Cormorant abundance and distribution. Other earlier work included secretive marsh bird surveys and Heron and Egret habitat and fish associations. Most of my work has been on a wide range of studies of wet meadow and floodplain forest songbirds, including breeding and spring migration season habitat use and community composition.
