         <description><![CDATA[<p>Truus Oversteegen was a Dutch resistance fighter during World War II, Born in 1923 in the Netherlands, she became involved in the resistance as a teenager, joining the group <em>Het Verzet</em> with her sister Freddie. Truus carried out a range of dangerous activities, including sabotage, distributing underground literature, and even aiding the escape of Jewish people. She was also involved in acts of violence against Nazi soldiers. Oversteegen's courage and resourcefulness made her a notable figure in the Dutch resistance, After the war, she lived a quiet life, but her contributions were recognized, and she became an emblem of resistance and courage.</p>]]></description>
