Her main points from her observations are:

- The normal rules of editing are broken in order to draw attention to what is on the screen
- Edits are usually obvious to draw attention to themselves, special effects and various transitions including jump cuts are used
- Master shot (Base track) is used to give the video a certain structure
- The camera may move in time with the music
