One current debate in the youth sporting world is whether or not the score of the game should be kept. Some people believe that the score must be kept teaching children how to win and how to lose. They feel competition is always necessary and keeping score for all ages and abilities is how youth sports work. Another popular opinion is that score should not be kept for youth sports because keeping score puts too much pressure on the athletes to succeed. They feel that keeping scores takes away from playing the game for pure enjoyment. How do you feel on this topic? Should youth sports keep score during games? At what age should the score of a sporting game be recorded? Should it ever be kept? There is no right or wrong answer to this question so please share your thoughts and ideas below. - Mr. C
