When you are cutting chop, dice, and slicing foods use a cutting board. Use knives only for cutting and if a can opener is needed find the appropriate tool, and always cut down and away from yourself when using a knife. There are different knives that do different things so make sure you choose the right one for what you are doing.

1. Run water over the cut and attempt to asses how deep it is, or if its bad enough you need a hospital.
2. If its a minor cut, clean the cut with soap and water.
3. Then as long as it isn't pouring out blood squeeze a little blood out to prevent any further infection.
4. Control the bleeding and wash it again. Wrap in a band-aid or something to protect it from germs 5. If the Patient feels dizzy or light headed take them to the emergency room for shock.
