My reaction:

It’s crazy how cholera, something we think is old and preventable, is still spreading 💀💀 because of war and climate change. Cases jumped 90% in 2024, and places like South Sudan are hit the hardest with poor sanitation and overcrowded camps. Even with a global vaccine stockpile, it’s still not enough. If we can’t control a preventable disease, what does that say about global health? Lol.

Social media is a huge part of our lives, but is it actually messing with our mental health? It’s kinda scary how much it can affect us without us realizing. Maybe we should start paying more attention to what we see online and how it make us feel 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

My reaction: I understand the growing pressure that many Gen Z teenagers feel—the constant need to buy new clothes to fit in or keep up with trends. But I think a great alternative is thrifting or repurposing old clothes to make them trendy again. 🤩

I’ve heard that e-commerce shops like Shein, Temu, and Taobao sell really cheap clothes. I’ve bought shirts from them before, but I always make sure to wear them for a long time. If I don’t wear them anymore, I either repurpose them, give them to a friend, or donate them.

That being said, Shein, Temu, and similar brands aren’t exactly ethical. They rely on unsafe labor conditions, even involving children, and their quality isn’t always great (even though I still buy from them sometimes—I just make sure to get the more expensive ones since they tend to be better quality 😅😅).

Whatever it is, I just hope more people educate themselves about fast fashion and its impact. 😀😀 I mean, yeah, you can still shop from Shein or wherever, but at least try to make good use of what you buy instead of throwing it away and contributing to pollution 💀💀
