The museum is located in the Aljabriya area. The museum was built in 1980 which is one of the oldest museums in Kuwait. This place is unique in Kuwait due to the museum's items, such as collections of manuscripts and miniatures, glass, costumes, jewellery, and metalwork. It is considered one of the important museums, but it is not very famous. It was opened by Jawad Boushahri to be a witness to the development and interest in Kuwaiti art and the young Kuwaiti talents.  It aimed to attract attention to the local fine arts in Kuwait, in addition to encouraging young artists.  This exhibition contains a lot of art pieces, including ceramics in different artistic forms. The exhibits also include sculptures by many artists. We also find many sculptures by local and international artists .They displaying their works in this museum.  Boushahri not only wanted this exhibition to be a place for displaying artworks, but he also wanted it to be an educational place.  Among the beautiful things that  can draw visitors’ attention is that there is a large art library attached to the exhibition, which is rich  in art books.  This museum is considered one of the first art museums that is interested in fine arts and sculptures.  Young talents have a share in it to display their creativity.  In addition to Abu Shahri, he has always been interested in this museum and is constantly developing it.
