In my opinion, this is one of the most original apps that I have ever seen. I think that it is a clear example of using gamification at school and of the use of video games for learning. I would use this app in lower secondary levels, in 1st ESO, when they are learning about plants. I believe that this would be a great way to apply the learned concepts and to investigate and research other questions not reached in normal lessons.
Apart from that, it's free! So anyone can enjoy it..

In this web, where I found the article "Human cells form the basis of this artificial eye", you can find hundreds of science articles specially oriented to students.
The thing that I like the most of this page is that at the end of the article, there is an explanation of the main concepts and words that appear in the text. This helps students to understand the article and to learn more words and concepts related to the subject.
A different article that I also find interesting and that would be related to the app and the lesson plan selected is this about the obstacles to getting humans to Mars, among which they talk about the difficulty of grow plants. The reading and thinking of this article could be used as the starting point and presentation of the app game. Check it out!
