This blank space creates a transition from one moment to the next within a story.

The author of graphic novels attempting to depict time and the passage of time in gutter. The passage of time isn't shown in the comic and, if done correctly, the passage of time should be the gutter of it.

"Each panel is a moment of time.

Stereotypes have made it hard for Asian to be absorbed into American society.
Example of stereotypes:
Asian accents, martial arts ability, unusual appearance traditional clothing), a propensity for eating exotic or culturally unacceptable things like dogs or cats.
When one is looking at an Asian, these stereotypes have cause people to expect something/someone that they are not. The idea of Asian being foreign creates a division in society and how Asian are viewed. This is also exaggerated trough the ironic scenes in TV shows or social media.

Americans see Asian as predator
Asian immigrants have long been seen as 'taking' from the United States without returning it. Early legislation that made it difficult for Asians to immigrate and made it harder for them to become naturalised citizens compounded this view. From some Americans' view. Then reason why Asian-American are in the country because they want to benefit from America and are just waiting to go back to “where they came from” with American money
