By making choices we get to know what is right or wrong. Making your own decisions makes you responsible for what comes out of what you chose whether it’s good or bad. Making your own decisions allows you to learn from your mistakes. Without making a choice, nobody can get the things they want.

 

       You’ll never know what would have happened if you chose another option, so always choose wisely. Options can be very stressful, but no matter how stressful they get, we will have to make them at some point.

Taking historical perspective means understanding the social, cultural, mental, and emotional settings that shaped people's lives and actions in the past. Indeed, taking historical perspective requires  comprehension of the vast differences between us in the present and those in the past.

 

 

       World history teaches us to use better strategies so we can avoid past mistakes. It is important because it allows us to make more sense of our current time. One can look at past economic and cultural trends, and be able to make predictions of what will happen next in today’s world.

 

        History helps us analyze situations to come up with possible solutions. World history can teach us how civilizations had developed and its progress. It enables us to understand different cultures.  History connects the past with the present. It matters because it helps us as individuals and as societies to understand why they are the way they are.

Because of world history we all learn to value the incredible events that has happened in the past. The answer is that world history is necessary. World history also helps us understand how the world works.

            A long time ago there were no fines/rules in the UAE, which has influenced our thinking in another way, for example, many years ago, there were not many rules for traffic, which made risks higher for people on the road. This has influenced many people’s thinking which is why we now have rules/laws.

 

            Minds have been influenced by what they think, as they have forced their mind into thinking their theory. We also know that a ball is shaped like a sphere, so it wouldn’t make sense if someone said that a ball is shaped like a cube. This is how world history has affected and influenced our thinking and the things we see and learn.

 

            In the past, we chose only the biggest events as “history”. Like wars, new countries, pandemics, death of important people, etc. In history, sometimes the true events are shaped into new and false stories. Which ultimately leads to new disputes on which is event should be “history”, for example we don’t know how dinosaurs died or became extinct, but some people say it’s because of climate change, yet others say that it’s because of an asteroid. This is just a dispute as we don’t know the real truth about it.

          Traveling helps you connect with local people and learn about their religion and history. For example: it’s like someone coming to your house from another country and they have no context or understanding of the history and religion of yours. This also helps you understand cultural values or beliefs of that certain country.

 

          World history shapes cultural values which can make you more interested to learn about them. So, these are the ways in which history connects to travel, how can you compare and see the differences between travel in the past and present?

          People have created and used maps to help them define, explain, and navigate their way through the world. The oldest known maps are preserved on Babylonian clay tablets from about 2300 B.C.

 

The Imago Mundi is the oldest known world map, it offers a unique glimpse into ancient perspectives on Earth and the heavens. Earliest archaeological maps include cave paintings to ancient maps of Babylon, Greece, China, and India.

 

In the past people used to travel by boat and needed to use maps, they traveled to find out more about history. Maps help us know where places are located , they’re also essential tools in interpreting history.
