This family was traveling through the Old Spanish Trail, where other settlers passed through as well. This structure is now considered a historical landmark to the city. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>La Casa Primera de Rancho San Jose is the oldest adobe home located in Pomona, California. The structure was built on granted land by Ygnacio Palomares. The Rancho San Jose land grant gave the Latino man over 15,000 acres of land. It was primarily used for cattle grazing and other agricultural purposes.  Today, it serves as a museum to the locals and represents the early Mexican life in the Inland Empire. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>East Los Angeles is the grassroots area of the infamous, Chicano Movement also known as "El Movimiento". The crucial movement took place in the 1960s-1970s and aimed to address the discrimination against Chicanos. The protestors expressed dissatisfaction political and social issues such as the education system not providing enough resources to ensure their success. The movement led to the broader representation for Chicanos and achieved equality within the school system. </p>]]></description>
