1. The theme in my story is that you shouldn´t let other people make your decisions for you. When she wanted to go to the rodeo her step family said no. She went anyways and had a blast without caring of what they thought.
2.Three character traits of Cindy Ellen would include ambitious, outgoing, and she is happy. She does things for fun and for herself and stays happy through the bad stuff going on in her life.
3.This version is similar to the original because there was a fairy god mother that showed up in both stories. They each had a fairy that gave then beautiful outfits and rides to their destination.
4.This one is different because there wasn´t a nice and fancy ball. Cindy Ellen had a rodeo and was in a desert western background outside . She also didn´t have a special shoe she had a special spur.
5.I prefer the original because it makes me happier. It keeps me entertained because of the magic, while with this one I got bored.

1. The theme of Adelita is good always prevails over evil.
2. Adelita Is mature. She isn't mean to the step sisters when they are really mean to her. Adelita is also strong. She didn't become depressed when her dad died and didn't break when her step mother abused her. Lastly, Adelita is Clever. She threw half of her mothers rebozo out the window for Javier to see.
3. There was a glass slipper that the boy went around with to find his Cenicienta.
4.It is different because the boy, Javier, doesn't even think twice that the step sisters are not his Cenicienta. He knows they are not her.
5. I prefer the Mexican Version because the step mother comes around in the end.

1. The main theme this story portrayed is to always be kind as cruel people don't get rewarded. This can be seen as Nyasha's sister acts selfishly and self centered and shows the prince how cruel and unworthy she truly is.
2. Nyasha (cinderella) is kind, polite, and generous. She never hesitated to help people who were clearly in need and was always hardworking and friendly to people and animals.
3. The similarities to the American version and the African version is the fact the sister, like the step sisters, always envied "cinderella" and tried to make her life miserable.
4. The difference is these stories is that Manyara was Nyasha's biological sister and they were both expected to take care of their gardens. Unlike the American story, this one shows that they travel through a forest to get to the King and no special even is made to attract maidens. And in this version, the King has powers and is more disinterested with girls who are cruel and selfish like Manyara.
5. I prefer this version and the Native American version as it has more character and personality to it. The stories both show how the "cinderellas" weren't afraid of meeting the "prince" and were incredibly pure of heart and only got more kind and lovely as time goes om

1. The theme of this story is to be kind to all and not to let bad things hurt you no matter how hard
2. Cindy Ellen is kind
3. The Western version is similar to the normal one by having evil step sister & mother, find a guy they like, and looses something to do with there feet.
4. This version is different because it is out in the country, dirty while the normal one is pretty in a castle.
5. The story that I prefer to read is the western version. I like the western version because I like the country, and I like different.

1. I believe the theme of this story is that kindness will be rewarded, like CInderella. She seems like a lowly, ragged "maid" in the story, but in the end, she married the prince because of her kind heart.
2. Cinderella, or "Pear Blossom" as said in the story, could be described as loyal because she never complains and always obeys her mother and sister, and brave because she doesn't really let how she is treated affect her.
3. Both stories, the Korean and Disney version have a similar plot. Cinderella starts off with an evil family who treats her cruelly. The mother and sisters then go to the prince's celebration and leaves CInderella in the house. AFterwards, she sneaks off to the celebration with the help of something, like animals or godmothers.
4. The two versions are also very different, because in the Korean version Cinderella only has one sister. And instead of a godmother, she has talkative animals that helps her.
5. I prefer this version better because I like reading different versions of the same story and how each culture changed it.

1. The theme of this version of the Cinderella story is that good things come to those who are kindhearted. By the end of the story, the humble Maha married Tariq even when her stepmother rubbed rotten fish oil on her head. Maha's step sister got her head rubbed with the oil, and it ruined her wedding.
2. Maha was humble, obedient and patient throughout the story. Even though she was forced to do unfair chores and treated very poorly, her heart was still kind and sweet. She never lost her patience and stayed pure.
3. This story and the one I grew up with are similar because the protagonists' stepmothers were cruel and spiteful. Also, in the end the Cinderella character married the man she wanted at the end.
4. In the Persian version, the stepmother was jealous of Maha's kind heart . Her stepsister, which she had only one of, was prettier than the American stepsisters.
5.

1. The theme of this story is to be kind, not greedy, and selfless. This can be seen as Manyara is selfish and cruel and does NOT marry the prince. While Nayasha was kind and gentle and she knew the prince all along and DID marry him.

2. My Cinderella aka Nayasha, is gentle and kind in a way that even when she has little food she will share with others along the way. She is respectful of people in the sense that she does not use manipulation and cruel thoughts toward people and she is beautiful in the sense of physical appearance and at heart. she even likes/talks to snakes.

3. This version of the story is similar to the one i grew up with because the sister is just as mean as the step sisters in the original versions of Cinderella.

4. This version of Cinderella is different from the original story because she talks to snakes instead of birds. She also travels to the palace from a long way instead of just strolling to the ball. It also gives her tests along the way as the original version does not.

5.I prefer the African version because its intriguing to see how my culture sees the story and how she knew the prince all along just in a different form.

1. A theme of the story is to be kind to everyone because you never now how will effect your future. By being nice to the people in her journey she had a great outcome
2.Cinderella is thoughtful, caring, and forgiving. Because no matter how mean her sister was she would still be forgiving.
3. This version is similar by many small details. For example being nice to people and creatures, and having a mean sibling, and get married to a prince.
4.This version is different because she only has one sibling, no stepmother, no fairy godmother, and in this version she meets a snake, old lady, and little boy.
5. I prefer the original because i love the dresses and fairy godmothers. But i always tried to be more nice because of this story when i was younger. What im trying to say it is hard to beat the original because i love disney. But i enjoyed both stories very much.

1. The theme of the African version of Cinderella is that it is important to not be rude to any other human beings. This can be seen near the end of the story when Manyara is walking down the trail, she appears to be unkind to every visitors that comes about.
2. In this story, Mufaro has two daughters, Nyasha and Manyara. Nyasha appears to be more like Cinderella. She is helpful when she is upon the trail. Forgiving when she is being talked down to her sister. And she also is accommodating to the little boy when she gives him food.
3. The African story is similar to the original version because it always ends with a lesson to be learned. Not to be overbearing.
4. This version of Cinderella is very different in some ways then the original. The German version includes a lot of more descriptive and mature themes then the African version, with it being rated more for a younger audience.
5. I prefer to read the German version only because I like to hear about bloody and horror themes, only because it is my favorite genre.

This can been seen when Sootface sees the man and says exactly what she sees, not lying about anything she saw.
2. Sootface is Honest is the way that she didn't lie about the magical hunter; she is Strong-Willed in the way that even though nobody believed in her; Hardworking in the way that she did all the sisters work AND finished on time.
3. In one of the few ways that this Cinderella is similar to the Western, is that both Cinderellas had very mean and lazy sisters. In both stories, the sisters humiliated her, looked down on her, and made Cinderella do all the work.
4.
5.

1. I think the theme is that it is okay to be different, and you should never treat someone unfair because they are different. Rhodopis deserved better, and she was just as beautiful and amazing as every other girl. You don't get very far by acting cruel
2. Rhodopis was hard working, she went to the Nile everyday and worked under the hot Egyptian sun. She is also kind. Even though the other girls bullied her she was never mean in return and always found a way to smile. Rhodopis was energetic as well, when she was done working all day somehow she managed to dance through the night with the animals and enjoy herself.
3.Rhodopis' character was similar to Cinderella because they looked alike with blonde hair and fair skin, and both characters were abused verbally by women and forced into working like a slave. Also, both were kind and gentle to everyone including the animals.
4.Rhodopis is a slave in this story and is a victim of kidnap, unlike Cinderella who just had a cruel family. Also, Rhodopis never went to the ball. A god took her shoe and gave it to the pharoh who made every girl try in on until it fit. Rhodopis' mother was not blessing her like in the traditional Cinderella version as well.
5. I prefer the Egyptian version because it shows how much hardships Rhodopis went through. And the character of Rhodopis seems stronger to me because even though she was a slave she still found a way to find joy in the world and to find her prince.

1. The theme is that if you're mean, or bad, or rude, then karma will come back to get you and make sure you get what you deserve. So you should be nice, despite wether or not, they deserve it.
2. Yeh-Shun was very kind, in the fact that she would always make sure to save some of her, very little, portions of food with her pet fish. She was also honest when the king came to her home looking for the slipper she had taken back.
3. In both this version, and the disney version they both had rude and disrespectful step-sisters and a step mother. In both her father also died when she was young.
4. The difference between this story and the disney version, is that instead of a fairy god mother, yeh-shun had a pet fish that helped her, she also had her magic tied to both slippers and the gown would go away when she took off the shoes, however in the disney version that happened at midnight.
5. I prefer the the chinese version, because its more 'real' then the disney, its also less watered-down, in the fact of tragedies.

It is shown at the beginning at the story when the Invisible One is trying to find a wife and he's invisible but the girls lie and say they can see him. Also it's at the with Cinderella (Rough Face Girl).
2. Cinderella (Rough Face Girl) has three character traits: Truthful because she told the truth about seeing the Invisible One. Quite because when her father comes back he asks her sisters what happened to her ,and they both lie to him. Rough Face Girl didn't say anything of the truth. Hardworking because she did all her sisters work due to their laziness.
3. Rough Face Girl is similar by

The main theme of this version of Cinderella is that the smaller your feet, more likely it will fit in a shoe.
2.The traits of Yeh-Shen are humble, polite, and generous, all of these traits helped her through her loss of her family and getting the guy in the end.
3. The Chinese version is similar to the original, because they both have the ¨Cinderella¨ have a stepmom and stepsisters, and in both stories, Cinderella gets the guy in the end.
4. The way it was different in this story is that the Godmother was fish bones and there was only one step sister.
5.I prefer this version because there is less gore and it makes more sense.

I prefer this version because we are all so used to the same story and the same people and its kind of cool to change it up a bit. It's the same concept, but with different people, but basically the same moral of the story.

1. The theme of this story is that you get what you deserve, and if you are kind like Cendrillon than good things will happen to you.
2. Character traits of Cendrillon are strong, optimistic, and kind. She is strong because she endured all of the horrible treatment that she got from her stepsister and mother, and still managed to smile and sing every morning at the river which also shows that she is optimistic. Cendrillion is kind because she never complained about how her family treated her, and did everything they asked her to do.

3. Both the Carribbean and the Disney version seem like they are angled more towards a younger audience because while in other versions, the stepsisters toes were cut off but in these versions there was no violence at all.
4. This version of Cinderella is different because her "fairy godmother" who was actually just her godmother in this story has been a part of Cindrillions life all of her life, and she knew her mother. The story is also told in her godmothers point of view. There are also some minor details that are different like, her shoes are pink, the prince isn't actually a prince, and that she only has one stepsister.
5. I prefer the Carribean version to the disney one because I loved the godmothers character she was funny and charming and I enjoyed the way that the story was told from her point of view, I also though that the pictures were beautiful and a lot more interesting than the ones in the Disney book. Something else I really liked about it was that it added things like words in creole to make the story really sound like where it takes place.
