Most rainforests (except evergreen forests in Europe and North America) are structured in four distinct layers: emergent, canopy, understory, and forest floor.

1. Emergent Layer: Tallest trees.

2. Canopy Layer: Dense leaves, diverse species.

3. Understory Layer: Limited sunlight, small plants.

4. Forest Floor: Least sunlight, decomposing material.

Each layer supports the ecosystem's health and functioning.

2.canopy:this is the second layer its leaves are the most dense so they block a lot of sunlight

3.under canopy: this is the third layer ,its trees are shorter than the trees in the canopy and they don't need much sunlight

4.forest floor:it is the last layer it has very short plants like shrubs,mosses and ferns the plants grow to 3.5 meters

2.canopy layer:It is the 2 layer of the tropical rain forest it needs less sunlight also the canopy gives water to the under canopy.

3.Under Canopy layer: it is the 3rd layer .it needs even less sunlight then the canopy layer.they have shelter from heavy rain from the canopy layer as well.

4.Forest Floor : It is the last layer it has plants big plant that grow up to 3.5 meters

2. Canopy layer: The canopy, where more species live than anyplace else in the rainforest, is the denser layer of greenery about 20 feet thick formed by the next tallest trees.

3. Under Canopy layer:Several meters below the bottom of the canopy is the understory, a layer made up of young trees, short species of trees, shrubs, and soft-stemmed plants.

4. Forests Floor layer : The forest floor is the darkest of all rainforest layers, making it extremely difficult for plants to grow. Instead, this layer is the main site of decomposition.

Forest floor:Plants grow little much on the floor because it is more cool and shaded.some plants that do not need sunlight such as shrubs.Some small trees grow up to 3.5 meters
