Kurosawa used the camera in a dynamic way with each of his scenes having clear transitions and movement, more importantly he directed his actors as indivduals and as large groups in very specifc ways giving access to very exagerated reactions. movement is a key part of his filmmaking wether it be nature or a person, there is always something moving in his scenes which he will either cut with movement or have high contrast between scenes to keep the audience engaged. one scene will end with a very soft and still imaged and switch to a bustling crowd of people. We also have the space that performers take up, little or alot, a choreographer can either cram a space and let movement be hectic or let it breathe and hold the performers (of course there is alot more you can do)

I also find interest in being ambiguous and distorted, letting work have a clear direction but enough space for interpritation.
