We packed our bags the day before we left. My sister and I helped our mom with packing all the stuff. We were staying for 3 days and 2 nights. We didn't want to bring a lot of bags because it was a long drive and we wanted to avoid bringing a lot of weight.

The next day, we departed very early to avoid traffic jams. We ate breakfast at an Indian restaurant on the way to Ipoh because we were starving after rushing the whole morning. After eating to our heart's content, we continued our drive to Ipoh. After 2 hours of driving, we arrived at my relative's house in Tambun, Ipoh at noon. We bought them some fruit and chocolates. They were delighted to see us. After chatting for an hour, we had to go to our homestay before the check-in. After we said our goodbyes, we left. The homestay wasn't very far so before we knew we arrived. The homestay that my dad booked was small but comfortable. We decided to rest the whole day and start our adventure tomorrow.

The next day, we had breakfast at one of the most popular Kopitiam shop 'Nam Heong Kopitiam'. They were very famous for their egg tarts. I wasn't a big fan of egg tarts but their other food was delicious. My mom, dad, and sister liked it because it was fresh and delicious. After enjoying our meal, we wanted to visit 'Kek Lok Tong Cave Temple'. My mom said that when she was a kid, her parents said the temple would bring people luck. When we entered the temple, we were mesmerized by the architectural design and the view of the temple from below. My sister and I fed the fish in the lake inside the temple. Then, my family and I went boating at the river. It was a fun bonding activity and a great exercise. Later, we drank coconut water to cool ourselves down after the tiring experience. We were so tired that we ordered take-out and ate it at the homestay. At night we visited the night market at Ipoh. It was very lively and the food was delicious. We tried so many delicacies that we never knew it existed. After buying a few snacks, we went back to the homestay and hit the sack.

It was the third day and we wanted to make the most of it today. Therefore, we ate a very light breakfast and visited the 'Concubine Lane'. 'Concubine Lane' and 'Wife Street' are very popular for their variety of souvenirs and their names. Some believe it was named after the area where Yao Tet Shin, a prominent local businessman, housed his mistress, leading to the coining of both Concubine Lane and Wife Street. My sister and I bought a few souvenirs for our friends and family. After the shopping spree, we checked out of the homestay and went back home.

In conclusion, I enjoyed the trip and was very happy to visit the places I have always wanted to visit. One day, I will come back again and visit places that I haven't been yet. That is all for today. Bye!!
