My Responsibilities:

• Following health and safety guidelines.

• Reporting any breach/potential breach of the health and safety guidelines.

• Making sure the students are following the relevant safety protocols.

Relation to safe and/or supportive learning environments:

• Following the guidelines and protocols of this Act helps us to create safe learning environments.

• Appropriate training can be provided to staff members, so that they are aware of the possible risks and are able to mitigate the risks in time.

Relation to teaching Digital Technologies:

• Making students aware of the dangers of water spillage into hardware devices.

• Teaching students about proper ergonomics and posture while using computers and other digital devices.

• These align with the Act's mandate of ensuring a safe working environment and preventing accidents that could result in harm.

My Responsibilities:

• Following the data protection principles outlined in the Act.

• Reporting any data breaches or potential breaches to the relevant authorities.

• Ensuring that personal data is processed in accordance to the Act.

Relation to Safe and/or Supportive Learning Environments:

• Ensuring appropriate data security measures are in place to protect students' personal information from unauthorized access.

• Educating staff and students about the importance of data privacy and their rights under the Data Protection Act.

Relation to Teaching Digital Technologies:

• Teaching students about the importance of safeguarding personal data when using digital technologies.

• Educating students about cybersecurity best practices

My Responsibilities:

• Making students are aware of the relevant DSE safety protocols and guidelines.

Relation to Safe and/or Supportive Learning Environments:

• Providing appropriate training to staff members on DSE regulations and best practices.

• Implementing ergonomic principles in classrooms and workspaces to promote comfort and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal issues.

Relation to Teaching Digital Technologies:

• Educating students about the risks of prolonged screen time.

• Instructing students on how to set up their workstations ergonomically.

My Responsibilities:

• Adhering to the manual handling guidelines outlined in the regulations.

Relation to Safe and/or Supportive Learning Environments:

• By following the Manual Handling Regulations 1992, we can create an environment where both staff and students are protected from the risk of injury associated with manual handling tasks.

Relation to Teaching Digital Technologies:

• Although the Manual Handling Regulations primarily address physical tasks, they indirectly support teaching digital technologies by emphasizing the importance of ergonomic practices.

My Responsibilities:

• Following Dress code.

• Creating a comfortable and focused atmosphere for learning through professional attire.

• Avoiding distracting or inappropriate clothing choices that could detract from the educational experience.

Relation to safe and/or supportive learning environments:

• Wearing appropriate attire to prevent accidents or injuries during sessions that involve physical activities or experiments.

Relation to teaching Digital Technologies:

• While there is no specific dress code, we recommend that students wear clothing that is comfortable for extended periods of work.

My Responsibilities:

• Adhering to established lone working policies and procedures.

• Ensuring that all necessary safety equipment is accessible and in good working condition.

Relation to safe and/or supportive working environments:

• Managing disruptive behavior alone, handling emergencies without immediate help.
