Today has been an eye-opener, where I've realized that cultures know no boundaries. Peoples carry their culture with them wherever they travel, and this is particularly evident through music, food, storytelling, and the plants of nature. Through my experiences and interactions throughout the day, I've witnessed how people can connect across cultural backgrounds and ages, creating a symbiosis through music.

It's fascinating to once again acknowledge that even though we come from different places and have different traditions, there is a universal connection among us. I look forward to imparting this realization to our students. This understanding strengthens my belief that cultural diversity is a resource that enriches our society and opens the door to new opportunities for understanding and collaboration.

Today's learning has also emphasized the importance of being open to learning from other cultures. It is through this openness that we can break down prejudices, build bridges between different communities, and create an environment where all voices are heard and appreciated.

Music - culture without borders (Thomas)

Today's learning was a fantastic experience where music opened up an intercultural communicative competence that included everyone. Here, I felt that music, as a culture, establishes norms and traditions for all nationalities, and that contributes to shaping us as individuals in communities. Music is a universal language for us humans, creating a unique and creative cohesive force for both local and global societies and for each individual.

If intercultural competence can be defined as an individual's insight into and ability to understand the cultural complexity of everyday life and to communicate without prejudice with people from other cultures, then music is an exceptional example of a boundary-free language that includes everyone with body, soul, and the ability to "speak" beyond common languages.

What a wonderful day - Thomas

Today I found that learning through the senses, namely music, can bring an easier way of communicating, without the need for words, in a universal language. The session with Edgar at Kontakaz is proof of this, he interacted with everyone, big and small and each o e of us uses the same language. I particularly appreciated what I Learned. about the construction of the Ka, the Trinity: nature, coming from the tree, the animal trough its skin , and the man trough their feelings. The three in one.

Music knows no borders and is an art that makes people connect with each other.

Today, music was the main theme of our training day and we could feel and experience the rhythm of Guadalupe music. This was quite an experience for me because it allowed me to be playing an instrument from a Caribbean island together with people from different nationalities.

I can say I felt powerful doing it.

In this session we could also learn about the ka and the origin of Gwo ka.

Stories and music bring people together and define the many different variations of culture that we all represent.

Today I really liked the story that Rita told us about her special instrument and the rythm that we played together. Music brings people close to each other and music is an open way of communication and it can be done with no common language and no special skills - just by improvising together.

Thank you - Kristina.
