However, they can't let others step on too many of their freedoms, like the 2nd amendment. Like with the first empire: Sumer, a secular king was able to unite the Mesopotamian region. It allowed for advances to be made. Are government is not the best but with out the government no laws would be passed. I do think that the government should be more in the people's favor but also there also needs to be boundaries.
