Hikmah (wisdom) is a highly esteemed quality in Islam, often associated with deep understanding, intellect, and the ability to make sound judgments. It is a positive value because it guides individuals towards righteousness, ethical decision-making, and a balanced approach to life.

Ways to Acquire Hikmah:

1. Through ‘Ibādah (Worship) – Engaging in sincere acts of worship cultivates inner qualities such as humility, sincerity, and devotion, which are essential in developing wisdom.

2. Fear of Allah (Taqwa) – True wisdom comes from recognizing one’s dependence on Allah and acting in accordance with His guidance.

3. Seeking Knowledge – Learning from the Qur’an, Hadith, and scholars enhances one’s understanding of life and strengthens moral judgment.

4. Reflection and Experience – Contemplating life experiences and learning from them allows individuals to develop insight and discernment.

5. Practicing Good Deeds – Wisdom is not just theoretical; it manifests in righteous actions and ethical behavior.

By acquiring hikmah, a person gains the ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood, make fair decisions, and act in a manner that benefits both themselves and society.
