I am Kimberly Zavala and I have been married to my husband Victor for thirteen years. He is currently a 7th grade Texas history teacher Kingwood Middle School, the same school where I teach 8th grade English. It's pretty fun, but we really hardly see each other since we teach different grades and subjects. The loves of our lives are our three children, Nathaniel (10), Coy (8), and Juliette (3).  Nathaniel, my oldest little angel, is finishing up 5th grade and I am beginning to feel the angst of having a child in middle school! Nathaniel loves math, takes piano lessons, and is trying to decide if he should join band or orchestra (any insight appreciated!). Coy is a sweet heart who is always ready to accompany me to the library or bookstore and is as bad as I am when it comes to saying no to a good story! Juliette is 3 and GOOD at it! We are currently transitioning her from staying at home all day with Grandma to going to preschool, and she leaves me each day with a sad face and tells me, "I will cry 'bout you Mom". But other than that...she is a joy. She doesn't go anywhere without a handful of Paw Patrol and books. My bibliogenetics are strong!
In our free time, Victor and I love to travel and take road trips with the kids. He and I also love to cook and I dabble with baking and cake decorating too. My favorite thing to do is read and I have been known to sacrifice sleep for a good story!

We drove  from Houston to Seattle, took a cruise up through Alaska, and then drove down the other way from Seattle back to Houston. Along the way we hit Pike's Peak, Yellowstone National Park, the Redwoods, the Grand Canyon, and Tombstone!
