This book gives off two different types of moods. There is both a curious and a mysterious mood to this book while you are reading. It makes you want to keep reading to figure out what may happen next or simply appear. This book is high on mystery with many different turn of events that occur in the book as you are reading.

There is a variety of tones that this book has going on but the main one that stands out is how the majority of the book has a tense tone. Jacob did develop a bitter tone in his character during the very start of the book but slowly started becoming his curious self again. The main tone is absolutely tense because you don't know what may occur next when you pass to September 3rd, 1940.

After a horrible loss in his family Jacob decides to go searching for answers to a something he was told by his grandfather. He begins his searching at Wales, Carinholm were he notices that the children at the orphanage were not just children but truly were peculiars just like the stories he had been told as a child by Abe.

Characteristics of Miss Peregrine

Miss Peregrine is an Ymbryne which means she has the ability to transform into a bird and even manipulate time by creating time loops. She has a very fierce and protective personality which from time to time leads her to having issues. Her number one priority is to always protect the children who live in the children's home and she does anything necessary to make sure they are always safe.

I give this book 5 stars because its a book that pulls you in with the captivating start that makes you want to keep reading to discover what might happen next. It build some suspense but not as much as a regular thriller book, but if you like mysterious spooky books that talk about strange characters then its the perfect book for you.

The song is about how its been a while since they have seen each other so it goes perfectly with how they haven't seen Abe in forever but now they see his grandson Jacob and talk about how they miss his grandfather.
