I have been a Spanish teacher since.....forever! I love learning and teaching languages. So far I have studied Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin and ASL. Spanish is the only one that I have any semblance of fluency in but I hope to keep learning the others more.

Since I have been living in Spain I have made it my goal to travel as much as I can. I have seen some really amazing things! This summer I went with my mom to Germany and Poland. We saw some truly amazing things including a visit to Auschwitz which was so heavy and humbling. I fully recommend going if you ever get a chance.

The picture above is of my and my daughter this summer on a beach in Spain. That is one of my favorite things about living here; the beaches are AMAZING!

I am a senior at Boise State and will be graduating with my Nursing degree in May! Some of my favorite things to do around Boise are float the river, go to bogus basin, top golf, and watch football, volleyball or basketball games.

I also love the outdoors such as hiking, kayaking, or going to the beach or lake. This summer I spent a lot of time outdoors and having lake days. Above is a picture of the lake that I go to and where a couple of hikes are!

This is my first semester at Boise State! This summer I spent traveling Europe with my family. We visited SIX countries, in total I've been to 15 countries so far. I love to travel and try new things!! My mom's side of the family is Hispanic, so I have grown up around the culture. Unfortunately I wasn't taught the language, but I am super exited to start learning it. I am a Business Admin Major and hope to attend law school to become a corporate lawyer after graduating at Boise!

I am currently a junior here at Boise State and am majoring in Business Finance as well as minoring in psychology. I am also on the softball team for the school and play ss and 3rd. Some of my favorite things to do here are to go to the river, football/basketball games, and hang out with my team.

This summer I traveled to Europe for my second time but it was very special because I got to see the opening ceremonies for the olympics as well as a couple of events before I left. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do because I love to try new things and experience different cultures!

This is my second year at Boise State, but pretty soon I'm going to be transferring to a school on Colorado. I'm an Electrical Engineering major going for a Physics minor.

My main hobby is playing video games, but I also like to draw, (even though I'm not very great at it) and learn languages. I obviously speak English, but I have pretty decent German, (A2~B1) basic Japanese, absolute beginner Danish, and, of course, I'm relearning Spanish with this class, too. (I took 5 years of Spanish in Elementary school, but I haven't practiced it since)

I'm taking Spanish because it was one of the only online classes I was interested in this semester, and I plan to move to Europe eventually, so it would be nice to know the basics of a romance language.

I am a senior at Boise State and I will be graduating with a degree in Radiology and an emphasis in MRI. I am born and raised here and love the outdoors because of how beautiful it is here. I love spending time with my family and puppy. I played soccer and basketball growing up and I am coaching at my old high school now for those sports.

A goal I have for myself after I graduate is travel as much as I can and maybe even become a travel MRI tech so I can see the world but still be working!

This is my second year a Boise State and I am an interdisciplinary studies major. I love being outside. During the summer I paddle board and longboard all the time. Recently I got this game on the xbox that I have been a little too obsessed with. I just got a cat and she is so cute. I love spending time with my family and traveling too! I’m taking Spanish because in high school I feel like I didn’t learn a lot.

I am a third year student at Boise State, I am currently majoring in business administration and entrepreneurship management. I love being outdoors such as camping, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Along with traveling, I love to explore and get to see different cultures. I also am really family oriented, so I try to come home as much as I can, it makes it hard since I am the oldest and my youngest sibling is 8, so there's a large gap there. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and making memories with them. Along with I have been working at Target since I was in high school and I love working there, it's a great atmosphere and I get to work with people my age.

I am also Mexican, but my parents never taught my siblings and I how to speak it so we are pretty clueless, over the years I have picked up on some words but still I would love how to understand and speak it so I can get in touch with my culture.

I am a freshman at Boise state and I am majoring in health sciences. My favorite things in Boise so far is the river, the access to downtown, and the atmosphere on campus. I can not wait to experience more events that go on here.

I have always loved traveling and seeing new areas. I enjoy things that involve being around people. I love quality time with people and going out and doing fun things like hiking and snowboarding.

Im kantibhai or asaiah which is my middle name (and is easier for people to say) and i am an elemtary education major. im actually taking this spanish class in hopes to improve my spanish skills so that when im a teacher and i can aswell teach the kids who only speak spanish, because when i went to elementary school i had many classmates who only spoke spanish and they never fully were able to know what was going on in the class and i dont want that to happen in my class. Aswell as my boyfriend is from El Salvador and hes been wanting me to learn spanish too. I also play instruments like guitar and piano and i love nintendo video games liuke pokemon and i also love sonic.

I am a sophomore at Boise State and I'm currently undeclared. I was interested in criminal justice before but now that I've taken some different classes I'm leaning towards a business major!

I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri but my family moved here to the Treasure Valley in 2018. My mom is from here and I used to come here to live with my grandparents every summer.

In my free time I love to read, cook or bake. I grew up playing the piano, clarinet, and alto saxophone. My goal is to start playing the piano regularly again.

I took some Spanish in high school right before the pandemic, so I never got to finish the rest of the semester learning it. I am excited to take the class and learn more of the language!

This is my first year at Boise State. Eventually I am hoping to get my nursing degree. I love being outside in the mountains or water and I am a huge book worm. My family was origionally from the bitter root valley in Montana and have many places we like to return to to hike. Since I don't have many photos of myself, I shared a photo from Mount St. Mary's, it's about an hour out from Hamilton Montana.

I took a little bit of spanish in highschool but I have forgotten all of it so I am grateful to be learning it again.

This is my third semester here at Boise State and I love it. I am on the Boise State Mane Line dance team, and I have been dancing since I was three years old. My goal in pursuing a degree in kinesiology is to work as a physical therapist someday. I work at a dancing studio where I teach youngsters how to dance, in addition to being on the dance team and attending school.

When I have free time from work, school, and dance, I love to do activities that are outdoors. I was raised in California, so I've always been a big fan of the beach or any body of water. I enjoy swimming and even paddleboarding. Pickleball is a sport I have really enjoyed playing lately. Even if I'm still not very good at it, I still enjoy playing.

I have traveled a lot around the US, especially for dance-related events, but I have never been out of the country. Some of my dream destinations are the Maldives, Turks and Caicos, and Fiji. Though I still have a couple years till I graduate college and a couple more years of school after to complete my doctorate, when I am fully done with school I want to spend some time traveling the world before I enter the work world fully. I am always up for new adventures, whether they are big or small.

In high school, I took some Spanish, but it was when COVID first hit, so I never really got to learn Spanish. I am excited to learn some Spanish this year and hopefully be able to use it later down the line in my career.

I am a junior at Boise State and I am majoring in Heath Studies with an emphasis in Science. I have hopes to become a diagnostic radiologist at some point in my life, even though it is going to take a crazy amount of school. You may wonder why I am not a radiology major...to answer that, it is because I also play softball for the university and I would not be able to commit to the time requirement necessary to be a radiology major.

Outside of school and softball, I love to do anything outdoors with my dog. She is a 1 1/2 year old golden retriever named Emmy, and she is my best friend! We do anything and everything together!

I previously have taken Spanish classes but this was back in middle school. So, not much was retained hence the reason I am taking this class! It is a pleasure to meet you all!

I'm in my third year at Boise State majoring in Materials Science and Engineering, though I don't really know what my plans for the future are. I really like it here!

I like to spend a lot of time outdoors and travel a lot. In my free time you can find me gardening, hiking, or getting lost in a new place.

This is the first Spanish class I've ever taken so I'm totally new to the language. I chose Spanish because I have a few Spanish speaking friends and I'd like to go backpacking through Chile some day.

I am a senior at Boise State and will be graduating with a health science degree in May. I am also minoring in Psychology. I am currently a nursing assistant, and my goal one day is to be in pediatrics. Last summer I studied abroad in Italy. I also traveled to 9 other countries in Europe, including Spain. I would absolutely love to make it to Greece one day. I love traveling and being immersed into new culture. The food, the people, the scenery, everything. Europe is just so beautiful! But in Boise I love to take advantage of the green belt and floating the river in the summer.

I am a junior majoring in Psychology. I actually have plans to take what I am learning now and use it to apply to law school. I'm in limbo of what type of law, but at the moment I have been toggling between child advocacy, immigration, or environmental law. Basically I want to help and argue at the same time. I also am a complete math nerd. I love number and formulas so much that I have a job tutoring kids in the subject.

Outside of school I am very much a home body. I, however, do love my fair share of nature. I spend my time reading books, enjoying nooks and crannies on the greenbelt, and taking up random hobbies like roller skating.

I have never taken a Spanish class in my life. In high school our Spanish teacher changed every year I was there so I decided to take French. I am really would like to take away a decent understanding of the language this semester and hopefully more semesters to come.

This is my third year at Boise State and it has been an amazing experience so far! I am pursing a Business Entrepreneurship Degree with a focus in marketing. I hope to one day be a successful entrepreneur. I currently co-own a remodeling construction with my dad and I work as the marketing head director of the company. I basically handle all advertising, customer satisfaction and social media.

When I have free time I like to go to the gym, play ultimate frisbee, swing dance, and hang out with friends. I like to do anything outdoors, and when I was living in California I surfed a lot so I like being active. I go swing dancing every week and it is my favorite things to do on the weekend. I have been playing ultimate frisbee for 5 years and try to play with friends whenever I can.

I have traveled all around the country and around the world. I will be going to Italy this summer to study international business and to also see my dream country. Some of the countries I’ve been too include, Prague, Germany and Poland. I hope to travel to every country in Europe by the time I am 30 as well so I hope to accomplish that.

In high school I took a few years of Spanish but I never really picked up on what I was being taught. I know how to make simple sentences but that is all. I am excited to learn Spanish this semester, and I am excited to use it in my future career.

I'm a senior here at BSU. I’m taking this class because I really want to get proficient in Spanish.  Half of my family are Spanish speakers but I unfortunately never got the chance to learn so I'm hoping to get the basics down finally.

My family is from El Salvador so I'm hoping to visit sometime soon. I love learning about the history of Central America and not just El Salvador. I enjoy learning about all the other countries in Latin America. If anyone wants to, I recommend taking Adrian Kane's film and literature of Central America. It was absolutely amazing and gave a great look into the history of the region.

I love to go for walks with my dog, especially in the evening when it's nice and cool. I personally really like to look at the unique/pretty houses when I walk with him. Another thing I love to do is watch movies and TV shows with my sister. We purposely pick the bad low-quality movies because they are incredibly funny if you don't take them seriously. I also love to play video games with my siblings, they are all younger than me so it's a great way to connect with them but sometimes they keep me up super late.

I'm very much a homebody if that wasn’t obvious but, next summer I should hopefully be graduated and have so much more time. So, if anyone has any good hiking recommendations please throw them my way!

I am a junior at Boise State, and I'm majoring in psychology and criminal justice! I'm hoping to find a career using both degrees, preferably somewhere in the criminal justice system. I grew up in California, but have family from Caldwell so I'm familiar with the area. A fun fact about me is that I have a cat who is polydactyl. He's got thumbs on his front paws and conveniently enough his name is also Thumbs! I am excited for this course as I took Spanish throughout high school, but stopped and forgot most of it so re-learning will be fun!
