         <description><![CDATA[<div>Puritans known as the most dynamic christian power, Puritans were very disciplined about God's commandments, Puritans believed that the only head of the Church was Jesus Christ. Governors and Leaders would punish sinners and protect loyal followers; One of the main beliefs was that the bible was open to personal interpretation as long as purity was always present.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Puritans originally came from the church of England in the late sixteenth century. The puritans left their home to come to America to practice religious freedom. The reason they are called puritans is because they wanted to purify religion and politics of corruption. The puritans arrived to america in the 1630's through sailing.  When the puritans arrived to america, the first thing they did was make a church of England.          <description><![CDATA[<div>There were many important people in history that were puritans, such as John Winthrop. John Winthrop was the first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, he was also a chief figure among the puritan founders of New England. Another important puritan was Roger William, he was best known for being a political and religious leader, and for having a strong stance in the separation of church and state. And lastly another puritan that was very important in history was Anne Hutchinson for her religious beliefs for being a threat to the puritan clergy but also civil authorities.          <title>Important Literary Works</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many literary works came out during this time period but three of the most important ones is John Milton's  poem "Paradise Lost" it is about the biblical story fall of man, and the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan. Another important literary work that came out during this time period was Anne Bradstreet's volume of poetry, It contains various poems about her dedicated to her father Thomas Dudley and poems about the four elements.
