Amazons response to Racism and diversity:
Amazon donated 10 million dollars to ACLU Foundation, Black Lives Matter, Brennan Center for Justice, Equal Justice Initiative, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, NAACP, National Bar Association, National Museum of African American History and Culture, National Urban League, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, UNCF (United Negro College Fund), Year Up. 
Amazon is matching employee donations to the 12 organizations they donated to until July 6th. They are matching 100% of each donation up to $10,000 per employee.
“Amazon’s words mean nothing when they are firing black employees organizing for better working conditions, when leadership planned racist smears against Chris Smalls, calling him ‘not smart or articulate’, when they deny our call for racial equity assessments in their business decisions and eliminating the environmental racism of its pollution, when they supply facial recognition software and Ring surveillance video access to police departments that are killing black people with impunity.”
Currently Amazons statement is around a 5 rating in our opinions, however historically, Amazons actions would not reflect how they have reacted how they have currently rating them a 1.

Although Whole Foods has made this comment regarding BLM and Racism, in reality they have sent employees home for wearing BLM masks (Haime). Racism and discrimination are egregious, global issues that devastate individuals, their families and communities. We have absolutely zero tolerance for racism or discrimination in any form. There is simply no place for it at SC Johnson, or in the world.


Action against racism, for social justice:

Long term support:
- "For more than 80 years, SC Johnson has given 5 percent of all pretax profits to charities. Over the last 10 years, we have donated tens of millions of dollars to organizations that assist underserved and primarily minority populations."
- support the Unite Negro College Fun Walk/Run in Milwaukee for 15 years
- support UNCF Mayors Ball since its inception
- for more than a decade, their Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Program has immersed more than 1,000 students in African American culture and encouraged them to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King
- consistently support local programs, including Milwaukee Urban League Black & White Ball, the Racine NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner and the City of Racine Juneteenth Celebration
- for several decades, they have partnered with Gateway Technical College to create educational and workforce development opportunities for disadvantaged students

"Supporting Timely Community Needs in 2020":
- made $500,000 worth of recent donations supporting organizations in Chicago and Racine
- Donations to Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives
- Donations to Sunshine Enterprises Chicago
- in Racine, they will fund initiatives with the city to improve relationships between the community and local police

Nike released this campaign video about racism on May 29th, 2020. 
Additionally, the CEO released this statement, "Systemic racism and the events that have unfolded across America over the past few weeks serve as an urgent reminder of the continued change needed in our society. We know Black Lives Matter. We must educate ourselves more deeply on the issues faced by Black communities and understand the enormous suffering and senseless tragedy racial bigotry creates." 

Action: NIKE, Inc. announced a $40 million commitment over the next four years to support the Black community in the U.S. It is going to go toward investing in and supporting organizations that are focused on social justice, education and addressing racial inequality in America. 

Nike has stood with many controversial issues in the past as well as now. Additionally, their campaigns are very accessible, and all their CSR can be easily found on their website. Therefore, I would give them a 4.5.
