Kleri Vasilakou (Greece)
The greek education system is very centralized concerning the organization and administration. There is a national curriculum, uniform school timetable and the same books for all students in the same grades. In this context teachers have developed for years a culture that is charactirized by isolation and lack of cooperation. the implemantation of whole -school approach in my school is far from the practical example of school in Germany that we watched in video. In my school we implement whole-school approaches which involve the collaboration of cumminity partners in cases such as: a)Representatives of local authorities, members of the administrative Council o Parent's Assosiation and the headteacher and all teachers of school participate in School Council in order to support school and find solutions to address the needs of school. b) Some individual parents cooperate with a teacher in case of a ceremony or a concrete action (for example help students to paint the walls of school building). I try to implement whole - school approach by participating in enviromental or cultural actions which under the supervision of responsible department of Ministry of Education and collaborating with other teachers and student's upon this.

In my school, since we are aware the only way to succeed is to involve more and more the parents to collaborate and cooperate to the everyday school life, we organize many inclusives activities or events. And even if we see how difficult it can be, we do believe it is worthwhile on a long term basis.
