         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>   • Domestic use</p><p>_Consumption: drinking, cooking, swimming, etc.</p><p>_Hygiene: bathing, washing clothes, cleaning, flushing the toilet.</p><p>_Amenity use: washing the car, watering the garden.</p><p>   • Economic use</p><p>_Agriculture: water is used for growing crops to feed people and animals</p><p>_Industry: water is used in manufacturing, maintenance, and cooling generators.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Water shortage can occur in places with dry or wet climates.</p><p>For example: Dry climates </p><p>1. Nouakchott, Mauritania: </p><p>- Annual rainfall: 200mm. Rains on average six days each year.</p><p>- No water shortage when its population was 15,000 in the 1960s.</p><p>For example: Wet climate</p><p>1. Taiwan</p><p>- Annual rainfall: 2520mm. Ranked second in the world in terms of annual rainfall.</p><p>- experiencing water shortage because:</p><p>  • Taiwanese use an average of 271 litres of water per day. </p><p>  • More than 70 per cent of the country’s water is used for agriculture.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Hydrological Cycle </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Hydrological Cycle is also known as Water cycle that refers to the continuous movement water from the earth’s surface to the atmosphere and back again. This cycle is driven by heat energy from the sun. These are water cycle:</p><p>1. Evaporation: heat from the sun causes water from lakes, rivers, oceans and the surface layer of soil to change into vapor.</p><p>2. Transpiration: plants give out water vapor from their leaves.</p><p>3. Precipitation: when the water droplets gather together into clouds and then the clouds is too heavy, and falls onto the earth again.</p><p>4. Infiltration: water that falls onto the ground and seep into the soil. And those water becomes groundwater.</p><p>5. Condensation: water vapor rises into the atmosphere, and it cools. At cooler temperatures, water vapor becomes water droplets.</p><p>6. Surface runoff: the water that flow from hill, mountain into oceans, lakes and rivers.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Locations in the world facing water shortage </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Around the world, water is not shared equally. Some countries have plenty of fresh water, but others don’t have enough water.</p><p>This happens when:</p><ul><li><p>Fresh water availability is more than 2500 m³ per capita per year.</p></li><li><p>If fresh water availability is between 1700 and 2500 m³ per capita per year, the country is said to experience water vulnerability.</p></li><li><p>When falls below 1000 m³ per capita per year, the country faces water scarcity.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Water comes from:</p><p>_ Oceans and seas: the largest reservoir of water</p><p>_ Lakes and rivers: major sources of accessible freshwater </p><p>_ Groundwater: water stored beneath the earth’s surface </p><p>_ Glaciers and ice caps: large reserves of frozen water </p><p>_ Atmospheric water vapor: water in the atmosphere clouds </p><p>_ Soil moisture: water that held within the soil, good for plant growth.</p>]]></description>
