The reflection on the teaching/supervision strategy for the BKAR3063 class.

1. Face to face class is the great way of teaching the students because its easy to interact with lecturers and can check the answers together for all the tutorials.
2. We can also watch the recording many times to understand quickly.
3. We will not miss out any important message.

Any teaching/supervision strategy to be improve in the BKAR3063 class:

1. instruct all students to open their camera while teaching and learning process.
2. Encourage two way communication and give extra marks for the participants.
3. Make a small online games for e.g. quizzes to make the teaching process more interesting.

Reflection:

Preferably, conducting the class in offline form allows for two-way communication, enhancing student engagement and understanding.

The materials provided by the lecturer has been helpful for students especially the past year questions. Also, discussion on the class for the materials are beneficial for the students.

Face to face classes are better than online there are interactions in physical classes. Also, I personally think the time allocated for the chapters were not fair since we spent half of the semester on the first three chapters, and we had to speed things up on the second half of the semester. I am sure students would prefer if more time were given to calculation-focused chapters since we get to learn first, then do the exercise, and then only discuss the exercises. This way, we get to see the things that are difficult for us in each chapter, instead of doing several chapters at once and going back to discuss them. In preparation for the finals, I wish there were finalised answers for the past years (though I understand the schemes cannot be shared to students), because based on what we had experienced, the many occasions of changing answers only made us confused. All in all, Dr’s way of teaching in physical classes are effective for many of us. Thank you, Dr.

This class has implemented a good teaching method as it not only focus on the theoritical parts but also emphasis on the calculation parts. Student able to familiarized with the calculation needed to prepare related financial statements.

Good teaching.. Dr always make us understand clearly about the topic dr teaching in class. Dr always shares videos regarding the topic. Classes were also fun not too strict. Ways to improve is allocating some time to ask student question regarding the topic each class.

It is better to have face to face class, because as a student i think that i would able to focus and conteratation more in f2f class compare to online. F2f class help student to clear their doubt with lecterur during the class time itself without having to pm dr.

I prefer face to face classes more than online classes since during f2f,my focus is quite good during the lecture hehehe.. for online class,maybe can do such a game session that need everyone to participate so they will stay focus and not sleepy during online lectures.

Reflection:

Avoid to have online class because physical class is better to make the students understand. If online class, some students will feel sleepy and lack of focus. But I like how the lecturer share the answer for past year for each topics which help me and the other students a lot.

Strategy:

More on physical class since this subject more on calculations and the students can ask directly for certain parts that not clear. If for online class, avoid teaching virtually unless there is urgent which need to do virtually and record it for future reference for students. If no urgent case, the lecturer can do quizziz or any quiz for the theoretical part which might enhance the understanding of students.

Reflection:

The mixture between f2f and online class is great, we can utilize the f2f classes to interact and ask questions to lecturer easily, and the online classes to reduce the necessity to spend time to go real classes and can watch recordings at convenient time. However, the problem is that often the type of class is determined or changed last minute and cause planning issues on our schedule. Sometimes some of us already went back to hometown but suddenly change back to f2f classes.

Strategy:

The mixture of f2f and online classes is great and should be maintained but the schedule and confirmation of class type should also be predetermined and won't be changed in last minute.

Reflection : the conducting of class is good and it was also good that Dr splitted the class into online and also face to face. Moreover, it is easy to clarify things when in need during class. However, sometimes when the extra exercise are given last minute and want it to be discussed the same day is quite hard as we are in need of going to other classes as well. Other than that, the lecturing and guidance by Dr makes it easier to understand on many crucial matters of all topics

Suggestion : Maybe the extra exercises can be given earlier which needs to be discussed

Face to Face class is more effective for students since if there are any questions can directly asked dr.
Some chapters are taught too fast, making students confused and unable to keep up with the teaching pace.

Dr. have done well in conducting the class mostly face to face, and also online. I think it is a great way to conduct the class physically because that is the better way for students to understand the subject better especially if its involved in calculation and to discuss about the accounting standards that involved in the recognition and measurement, and the students could ask the more questions to the lecturer to clear the confusion and have a better communication when the lecturer deliver the information (2 way communication).

Strategy:

Keep the conducive way in conducting the class (face to face) and maybe try to include many more exercise to discuss, and let the students explain what they understand about the exercise so that they can remember the exercise they do.
