The SSMS will digitally beam a signal that can detect a variety of Speleothems, and identify them. This signal will be  sent from different points on the backpack every 10 seconds then using the software for the backpack you can compile the data on your device to create a digital map of the cave. Not only that it will work in a variety of situations Are you a marine speleologist who has to map out underwater caverns for science, or are you a spelunker who is just looking to have fun, and stay safe. In either case this backpack will be able to provide the tech support you need on your excursion, and your future expeditions.
