-Alphabet name game: students say their name and something that starts with the same letter. For example Bobby says Hi I’m Bobby baseball then the next student goes. Depending on age you can have them repeat the person who went before them or you can have a theme like food. -Introduce a partner: I really like this one because it gives students a friend instantly and someone they will feel more comfortable with. It’s as simple as it sounds have students partner up and learn about their partner then share. -Group story creating: this is a great one any time of the year. Student work together to create a story but they only say one sentence at a time. It teaches creativity and lets them have fun while working with other students.

This activity has many benefits for the learners in the classroom. One benefit that really stood out to me was that it encourages students to interact with one another and collaborate. I also think that this strategy keeps them engaged and focused only on their group's task rather than worry about what other groups are doing. Something else that I thought was great about this activity is that many times teachers encounter situations in which not everybody from the group is participating. However with this activity, everybody in the groups is engaged and participating and asking questions. Lastly, this activity helps students encourage one another as they work through the entire time period.

Team building activities can help classes and students bond and maintain social relationships during this time. Some team building games that I think are good depending on the age group are, Show and tell, Race to 40, and Match the fact with the student. Show and Tell- Students find an object to share with the class. This is a great way to have students share something personal with the class. Race to 40- Class tries to count from 1 to 40 without talking over each other. One person starts with saying “1” and then someone else has to say “2.” Students continue this until they get to 40. Two people can’t say the same number or you start back at “1.” Match the fact with the student- Every student sends the teacher their facts, the teacher displays the fact along with a list of student names. The students then match the fact to a fellow student.
