Showing how The Batman played by Christian Bale and Joker played Heath Ledger, can be polar opposites but still have lots in common. The film is very realistic for being a fiction movie, and is focused more on the political thriller side of genre. This movie is meant to show how unsafe we are as a country. It connects terrorist such as the Joker to even school shooting or church shootings that happen today. All through out the film you get in depth character arcs for the main characters. The main focus of this movie however is Batman and what he means to the city of Gotham. Even though this at first may be seen as just another crime in gotham. Batman quickly slowly starts to find out that there is much more to this crime than meets the eye. Fro the opening scene you are able to se that Joker does not have any friends. He is all alone. He does not care about anybody except Batman. He wants batman and the rest of Gotham to know he is a threat and not a dumb freak clown. There is one particular scene when Joker comes into the mob meeting with lau. A drug lord calls him crazy. Instantly Jokers whole dahmeener changes in that moment and he says he is not crazy. Joker is a misunderstood character as far as why and how he became the Joker. In the beginning of the film you have alfred telling Bruce he needs to know his limits. Bruce responds "Batman has no limits" as he takes of his shirt revealing all the scars he has gotten over the year. Alfred lets Bruce know that him Bruce Wayne does have limits. And Alfred does not want to have to bury him one day. So due to Bruce wanting to inspire people, he want to give the city hope. This in turn Made Harvey the opposite of the man he once was. This is very significant because even Batman lost Rachelle, but he still stuck to his morals.
