I have felt lucky at my current campus and I have a great principal. She listens and is an advocate. I am usually more vocal about it... I won't stop. I haven't come across any negativity with admin or pushback with that. There may not be pushback, but it may be put to the side for a while. If there is a group that won't agree. Some may not know better or know how to deal with things. </div>]]></description>

Our counselors are always working, but they often go once a kid needs them as well as SEL lessons. If we had more time to call and check in on families, in addition to more resources, that would be helpful.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mental health is what I am passionate about. When adults are healthy and happy, they can provide more for kids. Mental wellness is important. Teachers are often in an overworked mode because that's the kinds of people they are - I think it is important to pause and focus on mindfulness, like with the HeadSpace app. We have several things, usually in the ways of professional counselors and LMHS that work for studetns.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My dad passed away from a heart disease last hear. I was a little scared to wear a mask and I got everything checked. I think the district - your hands were tied, what TEA is telling what to do... I know there are higher ups with funding and such. I like the phasing in. I thought it was a good idea. It gave parents a good idea of if they wanted to stay virtual. I think it is good because it gives parents (we know parents talk) an idea of normalcy, even though it is far from normal. The first day back I wanted to cry. As an elementary school teacher, I have students with special services. With virtual, I didn't feel equipped, things kept messing up, etc. Kids kept changing rooms. I wanted to cry. It has gotten better. We won't even talk about the Zoom bombs. I know that you are listening. I think you are doing a great job considering this whole thing.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have always said that I have never wanted to be an administrator. To Dr. Gearing - I am surprised you are still here. I would have quit. ...If you have ever seen a debate tournament (I teach debate), you speak so fast - I was pushing to see how much I could handle virtual vs. in person. But doing duty is so different. Building a community and an elective is so different. It has been so hard to build that community. I have nephews, and hearing their perspective. It's different. I wonder every day how we could have made this in a more equitable way. I have no idea how you could have done it better. I know people are leaving. That thought has never crossed my mind until this year. My heart goes out to those making those decisions. My heart goes out to you. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think the phased-in approach has been a good idea, too. We know we have to learn forward so doing it in phases and seeing what happens and learning new thing each day is helpful. What is most important to my mental health right now is the thought that I trust the district and local authorities to shut down again if COVID-19 spread starts to really increase again. If I lose that trust, it will be MUCH harder. Every step admin takes to enforce masking nearly 100% of the time helps me feel better, too.<br><br></div>]]></description>
