         <description><![CDATA[<div>Executive Order 9066 was signed by President FDR on February 19, 1942.  It allowed the goverment to incarcerate Japanese, German, and Italian Americans in concentration camps.  It was issued due to the growing fear of Axis Spies in the U.S. after Pearl Harbor.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Relocation</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the Spring of 1942, all Japanese Americans were required to present themselves for internment.  They were first taken to temporary camps, which were mostly converted fairgrounds and racing tracks, until the camps could be built.  When the permanant camps were built, the Japanese Americans were taken to large camps of as many as 18,000 people.  In the camps, the people were provided with food, education, and medical care, as well as jobs with wages as high as $19 per month.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Korematsu v. United States</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Korematsu v. United States was a Supreme Court case in 1944 regarding the Constitutionality of Executive Order 9066.&nbsp; The Court ruled that EO 9066 was Constitutional in a 6-3 decision.&nbsp; This meant that the government could continue forcing the Japanese Americans into camps.</div>]]></description>
