This course met my expectations by expanding my knowledge of how to better utilize technology in the classroom. I learned about a variety of ways to better implement technology while still keeping learning at the core of it all. I learned that url shortcuts will make a link look more cleaner and efficient in the long run. I wish that there were more technology projects that could be actually implemented in the classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson practicum because it was so applicable.

Reflect on your expectations of yourself. Did you meet your personal expectations and/or how you could improve yourself?

I did meet my personal expectations while taking this course. I always worked ahead on making sure that my assignments were turned in ahead of time. I made sure that any discussion post was as detailed and straight forward as possible. I also made sure to respond to classmate posts and responses in a diligent fashion. I believe that I worked hard to complete authentic work that I would want to display in my own classroom.

What was your favorite tech tool you used or learned about during the course or you observations?

My favorite tech tool that I used during the course was Piktochart. I started using the tool when I was in high school. It is such a simple tool to make info-graphics and posters. I used it in this course because I also know it is compatible with other devices. My favorite tool that I saw in my observations was Reflex. The kids thoroughly enjoy when they are allowed to get on Reflex during math class. It is a really cool experience to watch the kids get excited about math and want to learn more.

What are the implications of using technology in the classroom?

The implications of using technology is the classroom is hopefully more learning. The accessibility of technology allows for students and teachers to be able to have more resources at the tips of their fingers. Teachers have the ability to share their resources with other teachers.Students can demonstrate their knowledge in new innovative ways that could not be done in the past. Students can be more engaged and participate in learning when it becomes something that they are used to using outside of the classroom.
