Firstly, when Walsh was attacked by Walton, MacMillan and Peters at the beach, he ran to the the CNR workers because they were the closest to him. Walsh asked them to call the police because he had just been assaulted. It does not go into further information about the conversation between Walsh and the workers, but it can be noted that the CNR workers are clear witnesses. This can be seen in the Titus report: a report that recorded a conversation that a police officer overheard in which MacMillan and Walton spoke about framing Walsh. It also had statements by many Canadian National Railway Workers that supported Walsh's story about MacMillan being the assailant and not him. Jeffrey was released and received $41.6 million dollars for his wrongful conviction. He now spends his days raising awareness for those that were wrongfully convicted, and also helping those that were exonerated reintegrate back into society. Deskovic was a wrongfully convicted person like Walsh. Though, at least he is young enough to live his life and inspire others though his media and personal experience. On the other hand, Walsh passed away quickly after he was released from prison. This means that he did not have much time to spend with his family or enjoy his freedom. Unfortunately, this truly shows the injustice of wrongful conviction, which is explained thoroughly in the video.
