It also deviates from DC's traditional dark blue colours not only to stand out but also to show it is more mature as black is a simple but typically smart colour but also plays into the dark themes they are marketing. The backgrounds feature art from the comics and are much more dark and realistic in order to appeal to the older demographic. Not only does it show off more realistic art but it also tells them how the comics are uncensored and intense with lists of  the famous writers/artists working on the projects, it presents the new character designs in order to gain readers interest as some are drastically changed. Throughout the trailer red and blue is the most obvious colour pallet as Spider-man's suit has always (apart from a few odd suits) been red and blue. it also sticks out a lot more due to the colours.
For the demographic the game and the trailer is more or less centred around a teenage or younger audience due to Spider-Man being much more family friendly in nature compared with the Dark Knight, the most probable age demographic would most probably be around people 15 and up due to the age rating on the front of the package.
The trailer tries to communicate with MARVEL fans due to how the suits are shown.
