The first half of the semester's academic reading and writing course covered the study of paragraph structure, academic email writing, and reading strategies, and we completed exercises in class. At first, I was a bit confused, but I found the learning of reading strategies quite novel. My limited vocabulary also caused me some trouble. The reading strategies taught in class were very practical, improving my reading efficiency and giving me a new understanding of the structure of academic reading and writing. These new knowledge points require time to master and apply proficiently. At the same time, I made more mistakes during in-class exercises when I couldn't use my phone. In summary, through this course, I learned the importance of structure in academic reading and writing and also mastered some methods to enhance reading and writing skills. Next, I need to do more practice to improve my writing ability.

This is my listening and speaking reflection. The teacher of the course, Eric, is from Ireland. His accent is not familiar to me, so sometimes it's hard for me to understand him. Sometimes he speaks fast and mentions words I don't know, which makes it even more difficult. He often uses questions to guide students in class. I often fail to express myself clearly and can't say what I want to say. In class, we often watch some video materials, ranging from horror movies to science popularization videos, which have improved my listening skills. I will watch some English movies and TV series that interest me to continuously improve my listening skills.
