She was someone that was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and with this disease you only have 5 more years to live. It was also very painful to live through so she wanted the right to have an assisted suicide but she was never allowed to. This caused a huge debate causing this issue to go to surpreme court.
