I think this model is a great way to create engagement and allow for greater opportunity for informal (and even formal) assessment of student knowledge and their ability to apply their learning.  I liked that there is so much opportunity for differentiation and giving power to the student for their learning opportunities.  I also like that there is not a heavy reliance upon technology for the success of the model.  I think this will also lend itself well to the SpEd classroom as differentiation can be heightened and a "check-in with the teacher" station can be added.
