Viking shields were round and made of wood. Unfortunately wood rots quickly.

Double-Edged Viking Swords

The vikings swords were usually double-edged. The blacksmith would sometimes pattern wield the swords for extra strength. He did this by fusing several pieces of iron.

Arrows

Arrows were used for hunting as well for battle. They were made out of iron from Norway.

Axes

Axes with long wooden handles were the most common viking weapon . T shaped axes were usually used for working wood .

Berserk

Tyr was the viking god of war. He wore a bearskin cloak. The vikings would either put on bearskin cloaks or shirts and work themselves into a frenzy.This was called going berserk.
