Hello classmates! First and foremost, congratulations on the format you chose to present your activities. It greatly aids in understanding your justification for every respective decision within the script, and it has a handwritten feel that can engage your audience greatly. Your inclusion of Pinter (2017) to explain affective factors such as familiarity and how teachers adapt speech to for comprehensibility was a particular highlight of your justifications.

When it comes to your decision to change the original transcript, I believe it was a great idea that you showcased excellently. Instead of focusing on the characters, you shifted the focus to the actions and their order within the story. That was a measure that you justified through the emphasis of images and gestures, and it was not an idea that crossed my mind. Focusing on introducing the characters and objects was my first instinct, but I quickly found out how inefficient that approach would have been. By shifting the focus to the order of events, you manage to make the before and during listening easier to explain, a great pedagogical decision.

In conclusion, I was very pleasantly surprised to see your format and how well you included your reasoning through justifications, highlighted text, affective factors, and changes to the material. If I had to make a question about it, it would be the following: Do you think that some students may be distracted by the gestures and not fully comprehend the sequence of events itself? - Juan Carrillo
