I agree with the statement that Dr. Ken Miller said. "Supernatural causes for natural phenomena are always possible. What’s different, however, in the scientific view is the acknowledgement that if supernatural causes are there, they are above our capacity to analyze and interpret.” I believe this to be true because if something is caused by an otherworldly cause it would be next to impossible to observe it with the current technology we have.

If we were to use ghosts as an example of a supernatural cause then we can clearly see why we are not able to view these beings. If they happen to actually be real we probably would never find out. There is no current way to observe ghosts with the technology we currently have. Even if we can kind of figure this out we cannot get a definite yes or no.

One argument that people might have with my ghost example is "if it can be found on earth, supernatural or not we must be able to find out if their real." I see where they are coming from, but I disagree. Even if they can be found on earth we still do not know how to find out if they are real. Considering the fact that technology is still currently growing yes, we might be able to come to a definite conclusion but, as of now we cannot.

Belief is something that we cannot prove to be true. Despite the fact that belief has not proven to be true, many people seem to look at it as a fact. If we were to use the bible and god as an example, there are many people that see the bible as a fact even though there is still no absolute evidence of god being real. I do not think that following a belief is wrong, but it can be very beneficial to pay more attention to facts and actual evidence before you become obsessed with something that could be very well not real.

Scientific theory is somewhat close to a belief. Unlike a belief though, theories can be proven to be true or false. Scientific theories are what scientists believe to be the cause of something. Scientists have many theories on how humans can to exist, but despite being able to test some of them, they are not able to figure out for sure and get a definite solution to their question. It is close to a belief because it is what scientists believe to be true.

When people read what I just wrote one thing they might say to try and disprove what I said might be something along the lines of "A theory and a belief are very different. You can never prove a belief but you can prove a theory." The reason I think they are not correct is the fact that yes, it might be harder or take longer to prove a belief, they sill can be proven as a fact sometime.
