Today we followed the rhythm and played along with “a friend like me “from Aladdin copying various rhythmic patterns and keeping up with the beat.

Today we listened to two different stories told with music. We listened carefully, created movements, expressed emotions through movement and discussed how music changes depending upon the events. We listening for loud vs quiet music and why music might speed up and slow down. We discussed how the tempo sped up when their was excitement or running and how the dynamics were loud when their was shock or anger.

Today we reviewed our understanding of dynamics and tempo. We then created sound effects for the Little Red Riding Hood storyboard. We counted out different beats and thought about which parts would be louder or quieter than others, along with which parts would be faster or slower.
