Often we find ourselves starving after a long hour of work and studying. However, the café has limited choices of food and they never update their menu. |f free refreshments could not be provided, I sincerely hope that the café can change their menu regularly so that students will not get bored. 

Make the whole second floor a REAL quiet zone. The De Hav library doesn't seem to be a real library except the quiet study room. Instead, it looks more like a social hub, students came in to chat and relax with their friends. They make a lot of noises and students who really wanna work could not focus because of that. 

Establish a relax area that provides students with some privacy (having personal cubicle). Students who are studying for exams or working on assignments can be really tired and stressed out. Thus, establishing a relax area (with labels that it is for students to rest and chill)(not another place for students to talk, joke and play) would not only increase the productivity of students, it will also relieve their stress because of the approaching deadlines. 

Increase the number of books!
As an English Language and Communication student, I often find myself facing problems to get the books I needed. There are 30+ students in the class, but the book needed for the assignment has only two copies in the library. Often time, there are either borrowed by other students or not for loan. This causes a lot of problems as the loaned book takes one to two weeks to be returned and by that time, the assignment has already due. Seriously, please increase the number of copies of books needed for assignments for the sake of all students and the school's performance.

I am very serious when I tell you that I once witnessed a group of students in my first year playing cricket using books for bats etc. on the 2nd floor. By the time the security arrived, they had gone. Also, the noise is a HUGE issue, and the amount of times i've heard loud discussions about the benefits of Nike Air Force One's against the issues of getting them wet is far too many for one to hear in an academic library. I understand the need for some down-time, but trust me, these people never have some working time to warrant some down time. If people want to chat, flirt and talk about modern fashion and video games, go to the forum or whatever and leave the spaces on the computers for those who need them and are taking their degrees seriously.
 Finally, ideally a free memory stick would be brilliant but at least the option to buy them in the shop would be better. The cafe is a little dire, and de hav in general could do with a boost in that department when you consider college lane has a subway! Perhaps there could be a larger area for study supplies, instead of pads and some poorly displayed ballpoints?
