She's a Pakistani activist for woman's right to education and she fights through journalism. She started writing for BBC Urdu under the pseudonym Gul Makai. She was later shot in the head by the Taliban for it but miraculously survived and was taken to Birmingham for her treatment. Now with 16 billion eyes watching her she took her activism to a global level and created the Malala fund. She later won the Nobel peace prize at 17 for it.

The central theme of i am Malala is unwavering courage, advocacy, personal freedom and societal resistance its developed by Malala describing her love of learning in childhood, the Taliban’s attempts to silence girls by shutting down schools, and her decision to keep speaking out even after being attacked. With support from her father, she grows from a local student into a global activist, showing that courage and persistence can turn one girl’s story into a worldwide movement for education.

Malala's Father played a huge role in her life. He supported her education and encouraged her to speak out on the Taliban. He owned a school and educated women in his school in an area where most women weren't allowed to go to school, either because they thought it was of no use or because it wasn't allowed in Islam. (The matter of it being allowed or not in Islam was long debated by scholars and it is a very controversial topic. But later it was deemed permissible. Even today many challenge its permissibility but it kind of stands in the grey area, i.e. its neither permissible nor impermissible but kind of in the middle, like the thing your parents said u can't do but wouldn't care if u did it.) Malala's father faced huge backlash, and many people tried to shut down the school, but he didn't care. He kept the school open.
